Graphics and Illustrations
Ms. Rutuja Dattatray Chalke is a science illustrator determined to embark on her successful journey in scientific illustration. She has completed her Master’s in Biotechnology from St. Xavier’s College (Autonomous), Mumbai. She did her Master’s dissertation from the Chemistry Department at IIT Bombay under the guidance of Dr. Ruchi Anand. Her dissertation project was based on “Dynamic studies of methyltransferase to understand the molecular basis of recognition and methylation.” She started her professional career as a copy editor at Scholarly Editing and Translation Services Pvt Ltd, Mumbai. She simultaneously did a certificate course in graphic design from Xavier Institute of Communications, St. Xavier’s College (Autonomous), Mumbai. Currently, she is a full-time UI/UX designer at Techstalwarts LLP, Mumbai, and a part-time freelance science illustrator. She creates scientific illustrations, zines, infographics, and 2D animations to communicate science engagingly; her artworks are available on Instagram under ‘Tela di scienza.’
Mahek Kothari is currently pursuing Master’s in Cell and Molecular Biology at VSICMB, The Maharaja Sayajirao university of Baroda. Her interest lies in the areas of evolution and ecology. Her passion for art and science led her to pursue sciart.
Pranjal Gupta is a part-time freelance illustrator. He primarily work on 2D illustrations- watercolour sketches, digital sketching and basic vector art.

MVS. Sandhya is a PhD candidate in the Dr. Burgula’s lab at Osmania University. She worked on Development of nanoprobe immunoassay for early prediction of sepsis and its severity and submitted her thesis. Her interest is to explore and work on exciting opportunities from different areas of science, which can help her reach the unreached levels to create an impact. She is keen towards building a start up with more than 70 % women being part of it.

Sreyashree Bose is currently working as a Scientist, Process Development at Lonza Inc. Earlier she worked preclinical translational studies for metastatic breast cancer as a Postdoc.
Dr. Savneet Kaur pursued Ph.D. from IGIB, Delhi, and DBT-postdoctoral fellowship from SCTIMST, Kerala. Currently, she is an Assistant Professor in the ‘Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences (ILBS),’ New Delhi. Her research in ILBS revolves around vascular biology of the liver, deciphering cellular and molecular mechanisms underlying liver inflammation and fibrosis. She has significantly contributed to understanding how bone marrow-derived endothelial cells interact with resident liver cells and participate in liver fibrosis. For her work, she has received the prestigious young investigator award from the ‘American Association for the Study of Liver Disease.’ Current efforts of her team are directed towards developing endothelial cell-based targeted therapies for liver diseases. Dr. Savneet is a nominated member of the CPCSEA, Govt of India, and serves as ‘Scientist-in-charge’ of the Animal House Facility in ILBS. Besides the lab, she likes experimenting and innovating in her kitchen.
Naushin is an aspiring science communicator. She loves communicating recent scientific discoveries in the simplest way through her Instagram page named “Sciweeds”. Naushin served as an editorial assistant for the past two years and she is currently an Assessment Developer. Apart from her career, Naushin reads, writes poems and cooks.

Patience Asanga is a third year Animal and Environmental Biology undergraduate at the University of Benin. She enjoys writing about science, especially biological sciences. She is an aspiring traveller, who spends her time indoors surfing through the web for science stories to read when she’s not sleeping. You can recommend her a tragedy novel when you meet her.
Ritvi is a postgraduate at Vikram Sarabhai Institute of Cell and Molecular Biology. In her free time she enjoys to read books and create art.

Vandana Sharma earned her PhD from AIIMS, New Delhi. Poetry writing is her hobby. Her poems (general and science) have been published in various national/international poetry and peer reviewed medical journals. Some of them are Harvests of New Millennium, Sky Island Journal, Rewrite Sunlight Anthology, Ashvamegh Magazine, VerbalArt, Borderless Journal, Consilience (peer reviewed science poetry journal), International Journal of Epidemiology.
Rashi Jain is a Ph.D. student at All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi. She is currently working with Dr. Randeep Guleria, Director AIIMS. She is a science enthusiast. Clinical immunology is her major research interest. She is working on a lesser known disease sarcoidosis. She has passion for teaching. She is a voracious reader and recreational writer.
