The goal of this informal series is for young scientists to pick their brain on how they navigated their career in science. “Her Story” covers Beach side chat with inspirational women scientists, leaders and entrepreneurs.

IEFR Lecture Series

Founder

Dr. Uday Saxena has a Ph.D. from Memorial University of Newfoundland, Canada and a Post-Doctoral Fellowship from Columbia University in New York, US. He worked at Parke-Davis/ Pfizer, Michigan and AtheroGenics Inc., and also served as the Chief Scientific Officer of Dr Reddy’s Laboratories in US and India. Dr. Saxena co-founded ReaGene Biosciences and ReaGene Innovations with an aim to revolutionize drug discovery.

The foundation’s primary goal is to encourage and support women scientists in pursuing careers in Therapeutics Translational Research and entrepreneurship.

Its free of cost. Willingness to relocate to Bangalore for the duration of the internship required.

A Master’s degree in any biology discipline is required.

  • Passion for scientific research and a desire to contribute to the advancement of
    knowledge in the field.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic research environment.
  • Collaborate with leading experts in the field to design and execute research projects
    in the areas of vaccines, stem cells, and anti-microbial.
  • Participate in hands-on laboratory work, performing experiments, data collection,
    analysis, and interpretation.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of innovative research
    methodologies.
  • Prepare and present research findings to peers and mentors.
  • Collaborate with the research team to draft research publications and potentially
    contribute to scientific papers.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills and actively participate in team
    discussions
