Ayantika Sen
An immunologist specialized in infectious diseases, Dr. Ayantika Sen is a postdoctoral researcher at Stanford University. Her passion lies in studying the underlying mechanisms of viral infection pathogenesis in transplant recipients. While not at her bench, Dr. Sen enjoys painting and making jewelry in her free time.’
Nandita Sharma
Nandita Sharma is currently pursuing PhD in molecular biology and microbial physiology from CSIR-IMTECH, Chandigarh. Her interest lies in helping the society with her scientific endeavors and her passion is public engagement and public speaking. She enjoys stories, music, dance and any form of art.
Mansi Srivastava
Mansi Srivastava, M.Sc.,an alumna of the University of Delhi and Banasthali University, has worked on various interdisciplinary research projects in plant biology, molecular neuroscience and nanotechnology. After completing her PhD, she plans to enter the research and development industry. As an aspiring molecular artist, she is interested in designing scientific graphics of brain proteins. She has a strong interest in scientific journalism, and enjoys reading for leisure.
Dibyadarshi Ranasingh
Dibyadarshi Ranasingh, a post-graduate from the Department of Biophysics, Molecular Biology & Bioinformatics, University of Calcutta is currently working as the Chief Technology Officer at RNA Biotech Pvt Ltd. Apart from being passionate about science, he enjoys speaking in front of people and presenting himself. He is a fitness enthusiast and loves working out and watching movies.
Sreyashree Bose
Sreyashree works as Process Development Scientist in the Cell and Gene Therapy at Lonza USA. She has a PhD in Biochemistry and Biophysics from Texas A&M University and post doctoral training from Baylor College of Medicine. She has worked in multiple student organizations in executive leadership roles and has experience of hosting interviews.
Snehal Jamalpure
Snehal Jamalpure is a postgraduate student in Microbial gene technology. Following completion of an M.Sc, she worked as a project fellow at the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research-Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology in Hyderabad, India. Snehal has hands-on experience in protein-related and DNA-related experiments, cell culture, and handling of pathogenic strains (Leishmania donovani) in Biosafety level 3 facilities. Snehal is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in the subject of nanobioscience and is working at the interface of nanotechnology and biology
Pratik Rajendra Patil
Pratik's research areas are protein biochemistry, protein-protein interaction, and protein structure-function relations in the context of protein quality control and stress response. Pratik did his Ph.D. from IIT Kanpur and now works as a postdoctoral researcher at Center for Molecular Biology (ZMBH), Heidelberg University, Germany.
Albertha Joseph-Alexander
Dr. Albertha Joseph-Alexander, a citizen of Trinidad and Tobago, is an emerging filmmaker, plant scientist and professional science communicator. She is passionate about sharing research stories beyond the lab. Producing a documentary, has given her the opportunity to conduct a number of interviews and she looks forward to doing the same on Biopatrika's PhD Talk show.
Anu Mehta
Anu completed her Ph.D. in Animal Biochemistry from NDRI, Karnal and found her interest towards academic teaching and career coaching. Along with, she is interested in science communication through media and illustrations. She bagged Academic Excellence Award in Ph.D. and has couple of other accomplishments in her bag. She loves to communicate about science, understand how career transitions can be made and like to help people with the experiential knowledge.
Thamarailingam Athilingam
Thamarai is a researcher at the Mechanobiology Institute, NUS, Singapore. He uses the fruit fly, Drosophila melanogaster to explore mechanisms underlying animal development. Currently, he addresses the mechanism of morphogen gradient formation, and deciphering gene regulatory networks of cardiac differentiation.
Bivas Nag
Bivas, is a master student pursuing a degree in molecular and cellular biology in LMU, Munich. He loves reading. He dropped out of med school to dig into the greater mysteries and fascinating, growing fields of neuroscience. He is elated to be a part of Biopatrika which believes in promoting science and scientific research from various perspectives. Also, he loves to introspect and analyze new scientific theories and ideas. He loves networking and interacting with people across the fields and various paths in the world of science. Gayatri Vadlamani
Gayatri is currently a co-ordinator for Innovation Programs at IKP KnowledgePark, Hyderabad, India where she handles grants management in digital health and life sciences. A biotechnologist by training, she has worked on developing a microfluidic prototype for vascularising organoids during her Master's thesis. An avid reader with a flair for writing, she has dabbled with science illustrations and is learning to create 3D models digitally! She believes that science is best conveyed when it reaches a lay person and piques their interest!
Vikramsingh Gujar
My Research primarily focuses on understanding the cellular and molecular mechanisms underpinning chronic inflammatory diseases. I did my bachelor's and master's in biotechnology from India and pursued my Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences from Oklahoma State University, US and worked as a Postdoctoral scholar at Northwestern University, Chicago. Currently, I am working as an Assistant professor in the department of Anatomy and Cell Biology at Oklahoma State University Center for Health Sciences, US.
Pragya Gupta
Beside being a passionate stem cell researcher, Pragya Gupta is trained in Indian classical music, enjoys baking, inventive craftwork and learning about different cultures. She is currently doing her PhD at the University of Melbourne in Australia, where she is researching new ways to treat brain cancers.
Jyoti Baranwal
I have completed my Ph.D. with Dr. Gayathri Pananghat at IISER-Pune (Indian Institute of Science Education and Research, Pune, India) and worked as a Research Associate in the same lab until March 2020 as an interim. After that I have worked for few months in a prestigious institute ICGEB in India and further worked for a year at UTSW (University of Texas, Southwestern Medical Center) as a postdoctoral researcher. I want to contribute towards outreach of science and intresested in working toghther with like minded people. I am good at communication, team work, planning, organization and management.
Manveen K Sethi
Manveen did her Ph.D. at Macquarie University (MQ), Australia, under the primary supervision of Dr. Morten Thaysen-Andersen, an internationally recognized researcher in Glycobiology. During her Ph.D., she forayed into colorectal cancer (CRC) research. After her Ph.D., she was offered a postdoctoral research fellowship at Boston University School of Medicine (BUSM), USA, under Prof. Joseph Zaia, an internationally-acclaimed leader in mass spectrometry (MS) and Glycoscience, where she is currently employed in a research faculty-track position of Instructor. Her long-term career objective is to establish an analytical glycobiology research group with a focus on unraveling the biomolecular deregulations in neurodegenerative disorders, specifically AD.
Jyoti Dubey
Jyoti Dubey has completed her Masters in Biotechnology from the University of Mumbai. During her course work, she has worked on various interdisciplinary research projects in microbiology, nanotechnology, and plant biotechnology. Currently, she is working as a research intern in the Nanobios lab at IIT-Bombay. Her work primarily focuses on infertility issues. She is also a member of CUBE homelab,HBCSE (TIFR), where she participates in discussions related to various research projects. Apart from being passionate about science, she also enjoys cooking, singing, and watching sci-fi movies.
Puspam Keshri
Puspam did his Bachelor's degree from Jadavpur University, Kolkata. From there onwards, He got his Master’s degree from the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore where he actively worked on developing new methodologies for cross-coupling reactions. Finally, Puspam moved to the USA for PhD at University of Massachusetts, Amherst. At this position, he focused on studying the mechanical forces involved in cell signaling with nucleic acid-based probes. After finishing PhD, He started working as a Scientist at Laronde, Inc. in analytical development. Puspam enjoy travelling to different places and doing outdoor activities.
Shruti B Gaikwad
I have completed my Masters in Biotechnology from Symbiosis School of Biological Sciences, Pune. During my course I have gained practical knowledge of biochemistry and cell biology techniques. Being a highly passionate student of science, my research interest lies in molecular biology, cell biology and neuroscience . I am a team player that is meticulous about my work and eager to learn new skills. When not learning science I can be found reading comics and books.
Shreyas Hulusemane Karunakara
I am currently working as a research scholar at the Liver Research Laboratory at JSS Medical College, Mysuru. I am working on cancer epigenetics. I strongly believe and propound the idea of networking and building contacts through science communication. I am more than happy to meet new people and get along with them to know what they work on and how it makes a difference. Also, I like spend my leisure time putting my thoughts into art work.
