We are excited to share that we’re launching the next Wellcome-MRC Cryo-EM Training Course “Introduction to Single-Particle Cryo-EM” taking place 1–4 September 2025 at
The Astbury Centre for Structural Molecular Biology, University of Leeds.
This in-person course is designed for PhD students and postdocs new to cryo-EM, and combines lectures with hands-on training in:
- Negative stain and cryo-EM sample preparation (including sample preparation for time-resolved workflows)
- Grid screening and data collection on the Titan Krios
- Demo on single-particle analysis using RELION
Places are limited — apply by 17 July 2025!
This course is part of the national, community-led cryo-EM training programme, funded by the Wellcome Trust and the Medical Research Council, and delivered in collaboration with an outstanding team of co-organisers:
Emma Hesketh (University of Leicester),
Christos Savva (Diamond Light Source),
James Streetley (University of Glasgow), and
Mark A. Nakasone, Ph.D (Birkbeck, University of London).
