The FlyCROSS Mentoring Program connects early-career Drosophila researchers with experienced mentors from academia and beyond. The goal: to empower mentees with personalized guidance on professional development, career transitions, and navigating challenges — whether inside or outside academia.
👩🔬 Who Can Apply as a Mentee?
- Graduate students in fly labs
- Postdoctoral researchers working on Drosophila
- Pre-tenure faculty/equivalent leading Drosophila groups
- Non-tenure-track or teaching faculty in the field

- Fill the mentee survey – Share your career goals, challenges, and desired mentorship style.
- Review mentor profiles – See mentor responses and indicate your preferred matches.
- Get matched – FlyCROSS prioritizes mentee needs for the best possible pairing.
- Start your journey – Build valuable relationships and gain insights from leaders in the global fly community.
