About artist
Dr. Deepti Trivedi is head of the fly facility at Bangalore LifeScience Cluster. She has a Ph.D. from the University of Cambridge and postdoctoral experience from the University of California, Los Angeles. Deepti is a biologist with interests in Drosophila genome engineering and technology development. She is also an avid science artist.
Inktober 2021
This year I challenged myself to use the original #inktober2021 prompts to draw something about Drosophila.
I was able to do all the prompts with #Drosophila. It was fun to read and learn a lot of cool stuff about flies. Also, I tried to showcase of some of the work from #womeninSTEM during the process.
Lets take a dip in the world of Drosophila (fruit fly).
A human and a fly,
From 100 ft they jump,
The human goes splat,
The fly goes unscathed, without a bump.
