Eligibility
- PhD degree holders from any recognized institute/university (preferably below 35 years, relaxable up to 40).
- Age relaxation: +5 years for women, transgender, EWS, OBC-NCL, SC, ST, and PwD candidates.
- Those who have submitted their thesis may also apply (degree to be submitted within 6 months of appointment).
- Candidates must identify and obtain consent from a faculty mentor at IIT Palakkad before applying.
Duration
- Initial term: 2 years
- Extendable: +1 year based on performance
Fellowship Amount
- PhD submitted: ₹58,000/month
- PhD + 1 year post-PhD: ₹61,000/month
- PhD + 2+ years post-PhD: ₹67,000/month
- Contingency grant: ₹1,00,000/year (non-lapsable) for research expenses
