On the first anniversary of the BioE3 Policy, DBT India proudly launches the D.E.S.I.G.N. for BioE3 Challenge: Design Microbes, Molecules & More—echoing Hon’ble PM’s clarion call from the Red Fort on 15th August 2025.
This national challenge is a call to the Youth of Bharat—from school innovators to researchers and startups—to Design | Innovate | Lead and be part of India’s bioeconomy revolution. Together, we can build a sustainable, self-reliant future powered by biotech innovation.
🏆 Winning Solutions
- Category 1 (School Students):
10 winning solutions of ₹10,000 each for innovative idea videos - Category 2 (UG/PG students, PhDs, Postdocs, Faculty & Startups):
10 monthly hackathon-winning solutions of ₹1 lakh each for the next 12 months!
✨ Plus, BIRAC will support 100 awardees with grants of ₹10L + ₹15L (in tranches) to develop their ideas into Proof of Concept.
