𝗜𝗜𝗧𝗚𝗡 has signed a 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 agreement with 𝗔𝗿𝘂𝗻𝗮𝘆𝗮 𝗢𝗿𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗰𝘀 𝗟𝗶𝗺𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗱 to advance sustainable solutions for the textile industry. The partnership will focus on the project “𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗶𝗻-𝗯𝗮𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗲𝘅𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘁𝘀: 𝗔 𝗦𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗔𝗹𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗖𝗵𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗧𝗲𝘅𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗲 𝗗𝘆𝗲𝘀,” supported under the 𝗧𝗘𝗫-𝗥𝗔𝗠𝗣𝗦 scheme of the 𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗧𝗲𝘅𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗲𝘀, 𝗚𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗮.
The project will be led by 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳 𝗞𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗸 𝗦𝘂𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗮𝗺 𝗣𝘂𝘀𝗵𝗽𝗮𝘃𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗺, 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗺𝗮𝘆 𝗚𝗵𝗼𝗿𝗼𝗶, and 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳 𝗠𝗶𝘁𝗵𝘂𝗻 𝗥𝗮𝗱𝗵𝗮𝗸𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗻𝗮 from IITGN, in collaboration with 𝗠𝗿 𝗩𝗶𝗻𝗼𝗱 𝗔𝗴𝗿𝗮𝘄𝗮𝗹, 𝗖𝗠𝗗 𝗼𝗳 𝗔𝗿𝘂𝗻𝗮𝘆𝗮 𝗢𝗿𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗰𝘀 𝗟𝗶𝗺𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗱. Through this collaboration, researchers from IITGN and Arunaya Organics will develop environmentally friendly, protein-based colorants as sustainable alternatives to conventional chemical dyes used in textiles. This initiative combines IITGN’s expertise in protein engineering and materials research with Arunaya Organics’ industrial capabilities in textile chemistry, aiming to advance green textile technologies and strengthen industry–academia collaboration in sustainable manufacturing.
