Healthcare innovations made in India, for India and the world
India is fast emerging as an innovation powerhouse, with its vibrant ecosystem of entrepreneurs, researchers, and problem-solvers building solutions for some of the world’s toughest healthcare challenges. To strengthen this momentum, Pfizer INDovation Program—launched in partnership with Atal Innovation Mission, NITI Aayog, DPIIT, DoP, FITT-IIT Delhi, and Social Alpha—marks a bold step forward in nurturing healthcare innovations made in India, for India and the world.
The program is designed to accelerate 14 MedTech startups that are developing groundbreaking, affordable, and scalable solutions for healthcare delivery. By offering grant funding, mentorship, regulatory guidance, clinical validation, and go-to-market support, the program will empower startups to transform prototypes and products into real-world impact, especially in low-resource settings.
Two tracks, one mission: Impact at scale
Startups can apply under:
- Incubation Track: For those with clinical study-ready prototypes (TRL 4–5), offering support for validation and regulatory approvals.
- Deployment Track: For startups with market-ready products (TRL 8), enabling pilot deployment in Ayushman Arogya Mandirs and public health facilities.
Focus areas for innovation
The program invites solutions in five high-impact domains critical to India’s health priorities:
- Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs) – tackling early detection and timely care
- Oncology – enabling earlier cancer diagnosis and treatment
- Brain Health – addressing underdiagnosed neurological and mental health disorders
- Maternal & Child Health – reducing preventable deaths through timely interventions
- Immunisation – strengthening vaccine coverage in underserved communities
