🎯 Eligibility Criteria
- Must hold a PhD/MD/MS or equivalent degree
- Should be below 50 years of age (women get a 5-year relaxation)
- Applicants must already have a salary and workspace through their host institution
- Institutions: Universities, R&D centres, medical institutions, and non-profit research organizations
- Startups or for-profit entities: Only as co-applicants
📌 International collaborations are welcome—but the lead institution must be based in India and all required regulatory approvals must be addressed.
💰 Budget Details
- Maximum: ₹3 Crore, disbursed over three years (up to ₹1 Cr/year)
- Covers: Equipment, consumables, personnel, travel (local & international), training, outreach, publication, etc.
- PI salary NOT covered – must be supported by host institution
- Funds will go to the lead Indian institution, which will manage disbursement in case of multi-institutional partnerships
