Are you a superannuated scientist, retired professor, or an experienced industry leader with a passion for mentorship and research?
ANRF invites proposals for the Prime Minister Professorship to catalyze world-class research and innovation in emerging state universities of India.
🔍 Scope & Vision:
Leverage the expertise of eminent individuals from academia, research labs, and industry to strengthen the R&D ecosystem in universities with nascent research infrastructure.
🎯 Objectives:
- Mentor faculty and students to pursue cutting-edge research.
- Build sustainable research and innovation culture.
- Foster collaborations with premier institutions and industry.
👥 Who Can Apply:
- Superannuated/retired faculty from reputed Indian or global institutions.
- NRIs/PIOs/OCIs with strong research credentials.
- Industry professionals or Professors of Practice (age 55+).
- Willing to relocate full-time to host university (qualified under ANRF PAIR Category A).
💰 Funding Support:
- ₹30 lakh annual fellowship
- ₹24 lakh research grant
- ₹1 lakh overhead to host university
📅 Tenure: 5 years (with a 3-year performance review)
