Rs 3 Crore Support for Translational Biomedical Research
In a major push to accelerate cutting-edge biomedical innovations in India, the SreePVF Foundation has announced the Sree Ramakrishna Paramahamsa Research Grant 2025, inviting applications for translational “bench-to-bedside” biomedical research projects. With a generous grant of up to ₹3 crores over three years, this prestigious competition aims to transform breakthrough science into real-world solutions that improve public health.

🧪 What’s the Grant All About?
The grant is targeted at ambitious, translational research in the biomedical sciences — particularly interventions that can be deployed clinically. Whether it’s diagnostics, therapeutics, medical devices, or treatment innovations, the focus is on practical outcomes that can be implemented within 3 years.
💡 Proposals must deliver tangible solutions that address real clinical problems in a cost-effective, accessible, and impactful manner.
❗ Projects not eligible: Research in climate change, agriculture, or ecological sciences.
🎯 Who Can Apply?
- Indian nationals with PhD/MD/MS or equivalent
- Must be below 50 years (with a 5-year age relaxation for women)
- Employed at universities, R&D institutions, hospitals, or non-profit research organizations in India
- Startups and private sector entities may apply only as co-applicants
- Must have secured salary support and workspace from their host institution
- Both single-institute and multi-institutional (including international collaborations) projects are allowed, but the lead institute must be based in India
💰 Budget & Support
- Grant Amount: Up to ₹3 Crores
- Duration: 3 years (no shorter projects allowed)
- Disbursement: In three tranches (₹1 crore max/year)
- Covered costs:
- Equipment
- Research personnel
- Consumables
- Domestic & international travel
- Training, workshops, publications
- Overheads, contingency, awareness programs
- ❌ PI salary not included — must be covered by host institution
