Dr. Ritu Mishra’s interview with Bio Patrika hosting “Vigyan Patrika”, a series of author interviews. Dr. Mishra has completed her Ph.D from CCMB, Hyderabad and moved to Max Planck Institute of Molecular Biomedicine, Germany for her post-doctoral work. She is currently working as DST-INSPIRE faculty at National Institute of Immunology, New Delhi. She has expertise in Virology, immunology and neurological research and have done extensive research on HIV, Dengue, JEV and SARS-CoV-2 viruses. She published paper titled “Dengue Virus Degrades USP33–ATF3 Axis via Extracellular Vesicles to Activate Human Microglial Cells” as a first author in The Journal of Immunology (2020).

Dr. Pati is currently a Research Fellow at Sainsbury Wellcome Centre for Neural Circuits and Behaviour, London. Work presented here is done as part of PhD in the lab of Prof. Vidita A. Vaidya at Department of Biological Sciences, Tata Institute of Fundamental Research, Mumbai. Dr. Pati published a paper titled “Chronic postnatal chemogenetic activation of forebrain excitatory neurons evokes persistent changes in mood behavior” in eLife (2020) as first and senior author.

Currently, Dr. Kinare is working as Assistant Manager, Medical Affairs in pharmaceutical company Cipla and Dr. Iyer is DST INSPIRE faculty fellow at TIFR Mumbai. They published a paper titled “An evolutionarily conserved Lhx2-Ldb1 interaction regulates the acquisition of hippocampal cell fate and regional identity” as joint first authors in Development journal (2020).
