Sashakt Scholarship: Empowering Young Women in Science Across India
Fueling Futures in Science
The Sashakt Scholarship is a unique initiative by Dr. Reddy’s Foundation to encourage young women, especially from rural India and low socio-economic backgrounds, to pursue careers in science. It offers financial support and mentorship for three years of undergraduate studies (B.Sc./B.Tech/MBBS) at India’s premier science institutions.
Financial Support
₹2,40,000 award (₹80,000/year for 3 years) covering tuition, study expenses, and living costs.
Mentorship
Guidance from lead women scientists, serving as role models throughout your education.
Access to Excellence
Study at some of India’s best science institutions for B.Sc., B.Tech, or MBBS degrees.

Are You Eligible?
- Bright, young girls with a record of academic excellence.
- Completed Class XII examinations.
- Confident of securing admission in India’s best science colleges for B.Tech, M.B.B.S., or natural/pure sciences in B.Sc.
- Preference for students from rural backgrounds, economically weak backgrounds, and those with an interest in scientific research.
Important Note:
The scholarship is awarded only to students who have confirmed admissions in any of the listed eligible colleges. Admission slips will be required.
Application Roadmap
Step 1: Register
Scholarship Registrations begin: June 1, 2025.
Step 2: Apply & Submit Documents
Fill application form and upload required documents (from June 1, 2025 onwards).
Step 3: Select Institution(s)
Indicate your preferred institution(s) from the eligible list.
Step 4: Submit Admission Offer
Submit your confirmed admission offer from an eligible institution by October 30, 2025.
Step 5: Selection Confirmation
Await selection confirmation email from the Sashakt team.
Last date for application submission with admission offer: October 30, 2025.

- Income Certificate: Mandatory for household income < ₹5 lakhs
