Sun Pharma Science Foundation Fellowships 2026 Open for Indian Researchers
The Sun Pharma Science Foundation has announced applications and nominations for its prestigious Research Fellowships 2026 and Science Scholar Fellowships 2026, aimed at recognizing excellence in biomedical and pharmaceutical research and encouraging the next generation of Indian scientists.
The fellowships invite nominations from heads of research institutions, universities, medical colleges, and pharmaceutical institutes across India. The awards recognize outstanding original research contributions in medical and pharmaceutical sciences by Indian scientists working both in India and abroad. Non-Resident Indian (NRI) scientists holding valid Indian passports are also eligible for the senior research fellowships.

The foundation will award three major fellowships, each carrying:

- 💰 Cash Prize of ₹5 lakh

🌟 Science Scholar Fellowships 2026 for Young Researchers
To encourage young talent in science and research careers, the foundation is also offering four Science Scholar Fellowships:
- Two in Biomedical Sciences
- Two in Pharmaceutical Sciences
Each fellowship includes:
- 📜 Certificate
- 💰 ₹1 lakh cash prize
- ✈ Additional ₹1 lakh support to attend an international conference and present research work
Eligibility:
- Indian nationals conducting research in India
- Age below 30 years (as of May 15, 2026)
- Must have completed at least the first year of MD or PhD
- Applicants who already completed MD/PhD are not eligible
- Must have completed a research project
The initiative aims to support promising young scientists and stimulate long-term careers in biomedical and pharmaceutical research.
