Hiring Scientists: BRIC-NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF IMMUNOLOGY

CAREER OPPORTUNITIES FOR SCIENTISTS

The BRIC-NII Institute invites applications (through online mode) from early and mid-career scientists with the potential for intellectual leadership and passion for innovative research to fill up 03 positions of Staff Scientist-III and 08 positions of Staff Scientist-IV on a Direct Recruitment basis. The candidates with experience in any of the areas of research mentioned below are expected to set up independent research programs to address challenging problems relating to the immune system and disease biology with translational potential, and also participate in collaborative network projects with other iBRIC+ institutes.

The areas of research include (but are not restricted to) Immunology, Virology, Vaccine development, Autoimmune Diseases, Microbiology, Infectious diseases, Antimicrobial Resistance, Cancer Biology, Cancer Immunotherapy, Cell and Gene therapy, Stem cell and Organoids,  Aging, Metabolic Disorders and Chronic Diseases, Precision Medicine & Therapeutics, Microbiome Therapy, Biomaterials and Nanotechnology, Chemical and Molecular Biology, Genome Engineering, Cell and Developmental Biology, Synthetic Biology & Biomanufacturing, Genetics & Genomics/Transcriptomics, Metabolomics & Proteomics,  Structural Biology, Systems & Computational Biology, Data Science & AI/ML applications in biomedicine.

Candidates (Scientists) with expertise in NGS technology, proteomic/metabolomics, advanced microscopy, Bio-AI/ML, Biomanufacturing and Biofoundry technologies will be encouraged to setup platform technology facilities in addition to their research programs.

Demonstrated record of scientific productivity in the form of outstanding publications in scientific journals of repute and/or internationally valid and productive patents is essential.  Applicants should have a commitment to excellence and willingness to collaborate in inter-disciplinary projects.

Candidates must upload on the online application portal a 3 page research proposal highlighting their proposed research program in the area of immune system and/or disease biology.

Novelty of the proposed research work, Quality of the scientific productivity (as demonstrated by publications/patents) and capability of independent thinking will be major factors for the selection of the candidates for the advertised positions.
