STARTUP SPOTLIGHT | Fibroheal Woundcare: Where Silk Meets Science
What if a material best known for its elegance in textiles could also help advance wound care?
Meet Fibroheal Woundcare, a Bengaluru-based BioDeepTech startup transforming silk proteins into innovative biomaterials and advanced wound-care products designed to support wound healing and tissue regeneration. 🧬
Led by Vivek Mishra, Fibroheal is exploring the biomedical potential of silk to develop solutions for acute, chronic, slow-healing and difficult-to-heal wounds. By taking silk beyond its traditional applications, the company is bringing biomaterials science closer to real-world healthcare needs.
🚀 A new milestone: Fibroheal has been selected among seven Karnataka-born DeepTech startups for INNOVERSE DeepTech Enabler Cohort 1, a nine-month programme designed to help startups strengthen market access, mobilise capital and scale their innovations.
From a natural protein to next-generation healthcare applications, Fibroheal’s journey reflects the promise of India’s growing BioDeepTech ecosystem.
👏 Congratulations to Vivek Mishra and the entire Fibroheal team!
