🚀 2030STEM x BWF Fellowship – Empowering STEM Professionals
2030STEM, in partnership with the Burroughs Wellcome Fund (BWF), is launching a transformative initiative to accelerate the careers of early to mid-career STEM professionals.
They are now accepting applications for 5 inaugural 2030STEM x BWF Fellows who will each receive $10,000 in flexible, non-discretionary funds to support their professional development.
💡 What Can the Fellowship Be Used For?
The funds can be used for a wide variety of purposes including (but not limited to):
- Conference travel
- Research-related expenses
- Childcare support
- Skill development and training
🌐 Vision Behind the Fellowship
2030STEM aims to reshape the culture of STEM by investing in the individuals behind scientific innovation. The program not only empowers professionals but also aims to drive systemic change in the way institutions support talent across STEM disciplines.
🎯 Eligibility Criteria
- Late-stage PhD candidate or hold a PhD, JD, or MD
- Early to mid-career professional from any STEM discipline
- Working in sectors such as academia, industry, business/finance, or government
- Must be based in the United States
🏆 Fellowship Benefits
- 2-year fellowship term
- $10,000 career development grant
- Quarterly cohort meetings and workshops in Year 1
- Access to the 2030STEM Champions Network in Year 2
- Selected mentors will receive $5,000 honorarium
This program will create a strong network of Fellows and Champions using a collective impact model, empowering professionals from all backgrounds to lead, mentor, and innovate.
